A few months ago I received an email from Justin Reinmuth, a high school teacher in my district. He was so excited because he had just found out that his class was one of five finalists for the state of Nebraska in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. The project that his class came up with is absolutely phenomenal! Click on the link to view their video---Gering High School.
Justin's class was selected at the state winner and they just found out they are in the FINAL TEN in the ENTIRE NATION! They have already won $100,000 worth of technology for our school and they have the potential to win even more! I cannot even begin to share how exciting this is for Justin and his students. They would really appreciate your vote so they have a chance at winning the Community Choice Award. Right now we are in 8th place and we could use your help! All votes my be tweeted and include the hashtag #SamsungSolveGHS.
Voting will run through March 17 and you can vote once a day. I'm asking for forgiveness in advance for sharing this over and over, but I'm going to push this pretty hard for the next couple of weeks. Please take a few minutes to watch their video and even share it with your students. As long as they are 13 or older and have a Twitter account they can vote as well. I can't even come close to explaining their project, but it has to do with drones, pesticides/herbicides, and protecting our water.
